How to send money from India to Philippines?

You can send through moneygram or western union but with western union it would be more expensive compared with using moneygram .Anyway she can get moneygram payment in a lot of branches in Philippines. It would be much better if you asked your friend if what mode of payment she is more adapted to

 

Well I used wire transfer and it turned about to be a very expensive way to send this small amount.

I sent $80 (which is around 3600 pesos) to my friend and he got only 2500 pesos in his account. (My bank's charges are not included in this $80).

Was the rest of the money deducted by his bank as charges for inward remittance?

Anyone here has any experience of receiving an inward remittance via wire transfer?

Buy bitcoins in india, send them to your friend, he can cashout bitcoins via localbitcoins.com

 

When I was in Singapore I came across this particular site,www.qwartapadala.com. Try to pay it a visit maybe it could provide what you might need, haven't tried sending from India though. It was really cheap I only paid 1,171.80 SGD when I sent 40,000.00 for my brothers' (2 of them) enrollment what surprised me really was that I only paid 200.00 PHP (5.83 SGD) for the service fee. It was really surprising because I used to send thru Western Union and never went back. I don't know if this could help. Just give it a try, creating an account was free anyway.

 

Bank wire transfer is the best. But if you prefer paypal, then let your friend apply a paypal account. He needs a credit card though.

 

there are other money transferring websites like xoom which looks best to me is www.xendpay.com even any indian can send funds to other indian bank account but xendpay fees is little higher.

If Western Union, Moneygram, Paypal and other payment processor doesnt work then your best option is wire transfer. Hope that helps
