Can you recommend an alternative to DropBox?

You can use zippyshare.com for that purpose and they allow you 200 MB per file and there is no registartion required.

Have you tried Mega? It's free for 50GB of space and completely private. It might be what you're looking for. Here's a link: https://mega.nz/

Google drive gives 15gb, but there are others depending on your specs. I've tried out a bunch, give me a PM with requirements and I'll let you know of any free ones that might match.

Google Drive is definitely a good alternative to Dropbox.
If you trust Google, then go for Google Drive.

You may use Box. Or you can set-up a server and access through Team Viewer or Remote Desktop.

I would say for a low cost option, you can go with Google Drive which is nice if you have android phones, and they have Google docs which will allow you to edit documents you have saved in drive if you do not have Microsoft word or a similar program available. There is also One Drive Which comes with 1tb of space with the purchase of Microsoft 365. And then there is OwnCloud you can get a server and install owncloud on it, there are applications for own cloud on your wireless device and it is your private storage.

There is always other ways to get space from the internet
If you suggest Dropbox alternative then I will tell you just type in google uploading sites there you can find several uploading sites where you can upload your documents and even you can get space from specific location

I personally use Google Drive or OneDrive for such things. And No, They aren't interested in everyone's stuff, nobody has time to check all your files & folders that you uploaded to them. They use flags to stay secure from threats etc for security reasons.

And you can use MediaFire, Slower that dropbox, but does the work.
You should refer people to your Dropbox & increase your storage capacity instead. (If that's still there now)

What are you currently using Dropbox for? To work on collaborating projects or assignments, we enjoy working on Google Drive. It is helpful and you are able to share your files and documents easily.
