    Hi,

I would like to run facebook ads to target people buying wedding gifts. Would it be possible to do this by people talking about attending weddings on being invited to a wedding as a facebook event or to friends of people who have got engaged or are getting married?

There are some blackhat methods (that Facebook frowns upon) like Social Lead Freak, where you can scrape all user IDs (and then convert them into emails for a custom audience) and get all the people commenting/liking posts in Wedding Groups or Events. However, pretty sure Facebook will crack down on this soon but this is probably your most efficient way for now. Or you can just really narrow down the targeting by layering on demographics, Behaviors, etc. Or do a direct publisher buy from WeddingWire or other Wedding-related sites.

You can try to join group related to weddings and the moment they add you back you can share your contents.
