Why do you compare Yh vs Gmail?
There should be much different purpose between these big Email service player, however I prefer Gmail as it has 2 step security and it has adsense, too :)

Yahoo was a kind of obsolete email service that changed its interface about a year ago, or bit more, to have the look and feel Gmail has. Not the same but very similar.

What do this mean? That Yahoo recognizes the popularity of Gmail. However is harder sign in Yahoo if compared with doing it in Gmail.

I have both accounts with Yahoo and Gmail, but I rarely stop at Yahoo, while Gmail is part of my everyday routine.

Outlook, aka Live, aka Hotmail, aka whatever else, also changed to look similar to Gmail, but Microsoft never will change in their absurd time limit to sign in or get your account deleted, matter of a few months, when nor Yahoo or Gmail does such a thing even if you don't login for over a year.

G-mail is the best. I use it on my phone to sync everything, use it with blogger, it loads much faster than yahoo and is more reliable.
Yahoo used to be good but now it's painfully slow, app or web, and while G is getting better and better, YH is getting worst. But I still use it because I have a better name there. :)

    Hi buddy,
I think you could use the signature to indicate that you will be using gmail in future, and gradually you could shift to gmail.
I had quite a number of yahoo mails and I did it as above.
Hope this will help you out.
    cheers

I think gmail is better than Yahoomail. Because gmail is Google service products and Yahoomail is yahoo service products.
