10 years ago Digg.com was one of the top social media sites even before reddit, but now it's practically just a blog. Crazy how sites come and go isn't it?

So true... Digg, MySpace, GeoCities all were once great for traffic and backlinks! Sure miss the days, when (basically) whatever site had the most backlinks made page one for search results

They all rise and fall. Some last longer than others, but it is the nature of the beast. Anything Internet related has a very limited life span. It's good and bad.

I had some spam on my blog the other day. the guy said he was bookmarking it in Digg. I thought, really??? is that place still alive, or is your spambot out of date?? :D - I remember geocities!! I built my first website there, and I had the most awful time figuring out wtf did index page mean. HA. I havent been to digg in a few years, but I assume I still have an old account there. :) Now I must go see.

They still have 669 Alexa rank in USA which is not bad at all. No sarcasm here, they lost most of their positions but not all of them. It was aid that it is just a blog now. Well, it isn't just a blog, it's a popualr blog and it makes a lot of difference.

I think digg is a powerful feed reader for a website that can help you get updated with all the latest information.

I think reddit is still good bookmarking and blog site because the latest news and other interesting stuff posted are very useful. I am visiting this site as well and I can say that nothing has changed. I still like them.

Yes I do remember Digg - when it was popular, Reddit looked so small and weird.

They killed Digg, it hasn't just run its course and went out of business.

I still remember hitting digg's front page, it was insane. We got 3k to as high as 40k hits a day from Digg. The first time we got that surge of traffic my site went down. Even after upgrading the hosting and getting a VPS we were barely able to hold and keep the site live,

Somehow Reddit isn't as exciting ... as the days of Digg were,
