Hello DP members, I have seen few threads in this section where people are looking for IFSC codes for various Indian Banks & Branches. I have read somewhere that people are advising to change only the last 3 digit of the common IFSC codes prefix with their own branch codes etc. But this is not always true. So better all Indians who want to withdraw their PayPal fund to the listed Indian banks, download the whole database of all Indian branches which have NEFT (National Electronic Fund Transfer) facility. Just download the database which is in excel file & search for some specific keywords of your branch address. Here is the link : IFSC Code Database The link will redirect you to the RBI site & it has latest updates. You will find 5 links there, just click on the second last link stating "List of NEFT enabled bank branches" & it will download a 6 MB sized excel file. Hope now the search for IFSC codes is over for all Indians.
yes i also used this one.. I got it from ICICI bank website and i always used it for my use... Anyways thanks bro...
haven't check out the link, but sounds cool.. btw IFSC codes r there in every check book, i don't think its that hard to locate them nevertheless useful info
I don't think checkbooks have IFSC codes...at least not the complete code. My ICICI checkbook does not mention the IFSC code. (The bank account number has the same first 4 digits as the last 4 digits of the IFSC code).
i think some cheque books have the ifsc code coz when i went to icici bank to get the code they took out a cheque book and gave me the code from it. Mine does not have the code on it.
Guys for any information on any any Indian Bank, please check out the link below. www.bank-location.com
Hi Guys, I tried using the above link. Downloaded the excel files. But for some of the records states were missing which is really making trouble. Is anyone know the file with all details in it especially with state for each branch. Regards
IFSC Code is 11 digit code which is used in Online transaction. Whereas MICR Code is 9 digit code which is mentioned in cheque book.
I don't think any API is there... But you can find the complete directory of IFSC Code at BankBazaar.com. The list of all Banks and branches are mentioned according to RBI.
