How do I start a subsription on my website?

I want to have a weekly-fornightly newsletter perhaps, but I have literally no idea how to go about doing this.

My site is built with Wordpress - is there any easy way to do it and start collecting the email addresses from sign ups?

You have never yet burned your sites /feed with FeedBurner.com !!????

It offers email subscriptions but you have to enable that part. Also there is a limit to how many subscribers you can have I think.

Better off using Aweber or MailChimp.

Thanks, I've had a look at those and signed up to MailChimp.

No, I've never burned my sites with FeedBurner - I'm a newbie.

How do I actually get a form on my site that lets people subscribe?

Oh right, thought you was a pro for some reason. :)

Well if you're using WordPress then you can just install the WordPress mailchimp plugin and then just use a Widget to put it there or use the code they give you.

Like you see at bottom of http://dronewatchdogs.com

What the hell are you talking about!!!? Who do you think you are talking to me like that? unbrainer? WTH are you smoking!??

Wow I called you a peon. Get a life you moron!

Not that it doesn't already say that under your name.

Your skill and knowledge? What's that then? Getting people to PM you so you can trick them into some scam?

pianogirl is probably lucky I called you out today and saved someone from getting scammed.

If you have something to share, share it here with everyone else without getting the OP to PM you for it. After all, that is why she posted it, and what a forum is...

Why would anyone need to PM you for something to do with setting up an email subscription on their site? You're just pissed because I've revealed you for what you are.

You say you have so much skill and knowledge. But you don't have much common sense.

    What a moron.

@businessbrother, you just sent me a PM asking me how to set up an email subscription service... I hardly think you have as much knowledge and experience as you think you do.

LOL that just made my night. :p

Ah so there we go. The penny drops! I caught him out trying to get you to buy his service and hes got pissed at that and got all personal about it.

It's not wise to go around talking to people like that and insulting their intelligence and bragging that you have skills and that you are someone important.

We've reported this thread and your scammy little tactics.

I hope DP bans your account and host range too.

Might teach you a lesson in humility.

You really needed a confirmation of his "skills" after a couple of soooooooo well-written and eloquent posts? By God, how can you be such skeptics? :D

Yeah. I've just checked his posts and he's basically spoken to everyone like they are dirt in all his replies. He hasn't said one good thing to anyone since he's been here just insult after insult. It's like he wants to get banned or something.

Aweber is the way to go, they charge you but often have a dollar trial for the first month

Both Aweber and Mailchimp are great choices. Also, I recommend getting SumoMe ( http://sumome.com/ ).

Mail chimp and mandrill apps both just work great in order to be inviting more and more visitors to your business websites.

I don't like Mailchimp... It goes without saying that GetResponse is the best one.
