I need another logo!

This time for a Texan client

The theme of the logo should be a globe/earth with Texas on it as an independent large country, something like the earth image attached. You can show other landmasses on it but Texas has to be the dominant one

I need two version

One black and white
One superimposed with the Texan flag over the land mass like the image attached

bonus points for detail (clouds, terrain, realism etc)

You can do it how you want - neat or grungy, whatever looks good to you!

As a note, for the colored version, only the Texas landmass need to colored with the flag. The rest of the design can stay black & white

General Feedback

Think simple. The most important thing is the Texas shape/country. Some of you have been going for realism but that's not the think. For example, something like the attached picture but with Texas as the main country would probably look pretty cool (this is just an example of how you don't need to create a photo-like earth)

It looks OK but something is missing. Maybe needs to be more stylistic like an app icon or something...
as a reminder, for the color version, only the Texas flag needs to be color. The rest can remain black & white

It's still lacking something. I also don't want it to look like a CAD image

 

Looks like the color thing is confusing you so just make it black and white for now. Make the clouds more grungy than cartoony. DOn't but another country under texas. It should be it's own country and there should be space/water between it and other countries

I can't even make Texas out in these images. I don't think you have understood the competition. Texas needs to be a stand alone country

I'm not sure what this is. Texas needs to be a stand alone country but it looks like you have just put the map on top of other countries. Also, I said in my last feedback to you just to leave it black and white. There is no need for the sun flare that you have done I just want a world with Texas as a country....
