Paypal scammed.

I sold a buyer some shoes. He claimed not as described, the shoes was brand new with a receipt. Now I'm getting a -1600 balance.

The thing is. I have no SSN. No bank. No card. Nothing linked. The address is even fake.

so how will PayPal refund him if there's nothing linked to my account? Am I *ucked? Will police come to my door somehow? I refuse to pay a scammer I refuse to get scammed. What will happen to me and my account

If nothing is connected to you, how they will be able to find out who you are? I don't think they can.

My question is how did you sell it? You don't have to answer that, of course, but if you sold it via ebay, they will get to the bottom of it and refund the buyer, for sure.

    Wow. scammers united.
What do you mean? Why do you want to open a new paypal account now for? You need to resolve the issue you have with your current paypal account first or else that is just going to open up a whole bag of crap for you later on down the line if they connect the 2 accounts together they will find out and send bailiffs to collect one way or another.

The only thing you need to be able to prove is proof of purchase. The buyer needs to send them back to you.

Let me guess. Did they pay with a credit card and then "claw" the payment back through their credit card company?

It's a typical scam that paypal give into everytime. Their seller protection can only protect you so far for physical products IF you have sufficient proof of postage, tracking ID, insurance etc.

    Do you have that?

What I want to know is. Who the heff pays $1600 for some shoes off of a Facebook page?? It's such BS! Who was this person? Some drunk sheik from abu dhabi!? Come on!

Dude I refuse to resolve the issue. Resolving the isssue is to grant the buyer with 1600 which isn't going to happen. I don't know what to do man. Nothing is linked to the account but I'm still scared of my credit going down and not being able to get things I want. I'm only 18

What? No, resolving the issue would be providing PayPal with proof of purchase. I already asked you, do you have proof of postage? Tracking ID etc??

You don't because you didn't send the item or you failed to get proof of postage but why would you for an expensive item like that? Some things don't add up!

More like you didn't send them or something. We are not idiots.

Lol yes I provided proof of purchase and tracking. I'm an experienced seller. I even added sig confirmation. That's not my issue.

My issue is the item was not as described according to him.

If he is claiming it not described, then he has confirmed that he received the
item. Why is paypal taking your money rather then not having the buyer
return the item too you. If you do not make good with paypal, then you
account will be limited to the point of being able to do nothing, then they will
turn your account over to collections, then realize everything you submitted was fake.

How will he get a refund? -$1600 is how.....
Where is the $1600 you rec'd for the shoes?

It is obvious that paypal will take the hit if you do not pay them back.
that is why they left your account negative balance....

Is that even possible? does paypal make you go through certain steps such
as SSN, having a bank account, having a credit card linked?

To be honest, your entire story of selling a $1600 pair of shoes on
facebook just does not pass the smell test, nor does it sound truthful.

Starting to wonder who the real scammer is...
It sounds like you scammed someone for $1600...
You took the money, spent it, whatever, now the buyer
did not get what he was expecting and files a dispute/chargeback...
By this time, you have already took the cash out and spent it...
then you come here because you are left holding the bag of negative $-1600
and your only thought is to run and open another paypal account....

Not sure why people keep making such posts...
now you are looking for advice on how to scam paypal...

1: I doubt police will come to your door, unless paypal
can convince them otherwise, who knows...

2: If you do make good with paypal, then forget about
the account, they will freeze the account.

3: If paypal can locate you, then they will turn you over
to collections, if such a thing exists in your country....

4: If you setup a new paypal account, sooner or later it
will be traced or linked back to the old account, then red
flags will fly, then paypal thinks you are the scammer...
    (and you are...)

Exactly! Complete BS! If buyer is claiming "not as described" then buyer has to return the item back to the seller. Once seller confirms he/she/ has received the item back, he/she/it updates PayPal.

Then PayPal will refund the buyer. But they cannot do that until you have put the money back into your PayPal account.

Chances are, seller doesn't want to do that. And that's understandable (if the item was perfectly described and had adequate pictures).

But all buyers have a standard "14 day cooling off period" set by law and trading standards, in which they can ask for a refund.

    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/c...f-period-when-you-buy-services-distance-sale/

What I want to know is, what muppet buys a pair of shoes for $1600 from a dodgy facebook group!??

Who spends $1600 on a pair of shoes anyway! What were they made of diamonds!!?
