We are a Cloud Hosting Data Center and have around 1000+ Servers which are unsold, they got around 4800+ Intel Hashwell CPU.

We would like to know some good way to generate money using these idle servers, currently we are Mining Concurrency but its not good enough...

If you have any better idea, please do share- we will make a generous "Thank you gift" for ideas that worth.

What kind of currency are you mining? I know there are some out there that are geared towards CPUs vs GPUs, and pretty much anything can be converted into bitcoins these days. Maybe try giving dogecoin or one of the less known crypto currencies a try

Offer free hosting for 1-2 months and then charge your clients for the subsequent months. Tied up with a web designer or run your ads on web hosting forums to make this work.

With 1000 servers it is going to take a LONG time to fill those servers and will cost significantly more in the short/long run (take into account server licenses such as control panels etc).

You can try building a small CDN service. But that would need a well designed infrastructure and a tech team that knows their job really well.

My question is: why would you invest in 1000 servers if you don't have a good business plan in place to make sure you can sell them?

A CDN might be worth a shot but those servers would need to be distributed to multiple datacenters, a lot of headache, upfront investment and on-going costs. So again, it is going to cost a significant sum before those servers turn profitable.

Also, going back to the mining, if you are doing BitCoin with CPU's the power draw is going to be ridiculous! I hope you're factoring that into things.

Selling VPSes? How many IPs do you have access to?

So did you find a solution to your idle hardware issue or are you still looking for ideas?
