Bug Not a premium member despite paying since 2010

    Hi,
it's been over 2 years that I have been focusing on french internet marketing and so I wasn't as active as before on this forum.
I subscribed to the premium membership since december 2010 to support this forum, but since the end of 2012 I have been less active here as I was busy on french forums and affiliate programs.

Nevertheless I let my paypal yearly recurring payment of $125 run because I was regularly planning to come back and keep on using this forum which has been a great help to me the years before. It hasn't happened yet, I'm not yet back to doing mostly english sites.

But today what do I notice? I'm not a premium member anymore, don't know why. And I don't know since when because when I do come occasionnally, I don't use it often to remember that premium members have a "PREMIUM MEMBER" banner below their avatar...

I check in my profile options and I have the option to subscribe again to be a premium member.
But on paypal I see that the recurring payment is still active and has been charged correctly every december of the year since 2010..

So that's kind of a bummer!

Of course I'm cancelling this recurring payment now, but it's a pity, even if I don't use my account, why have I been paying for not being a premium member? Even if this was of no use to me, still..

Oh well, I guess it would be pointless to complain to Shawn or Paypal about it..

Despite the payment made last december for nothing :

Bye, I'll keep my account not as a premium member, but at least not paying to not be one.

I hope to become active again on this forum, I remember it was fun, much more fun than now on the french forums, I can tell you that! And it's also more profitable to read digitalpoint to know about advances in the internet world. Unfortunately I don't have time to do both or slow down in french IM just now.

Did you by chance have a different username? Old subscriptions created under vBulletin were based on your username. So if it was created in 2010, it would have been vBulletin, but did you also have a different username when you did?

I don't think it is the case.
When I first joined in 2006 I had a different username based on my main website at the time, but I paid once to change my username, and only a few years later I did subscribe to the premium membership.
That's from memory, but unfortunately it has failed me before. I don't think I changed it again after that first time, but if I did, it would just be another proof that I can't rely on my memory anymore.

Thank you for adding the premium member label, I'll feel better until it expires :)

If you look at the original subscription transaction (it's the one that starts with "S-"), it should tell you in the notes/custom field there what the username was. Was pretty retarded that vBulletin did it based on username rather than user ID.
