Why has my website has been getting hits from Google?

    The IP address says some of the hits are from Google and and some are from Googlebot. This has happened before on occasion, but it's happened a little more often lately. Does this mean that my website is being crawled more often?

    maybe yes, it depends how frequently you update the site.

    I update it every few days at the most.
