For me, sites that I don't constantly update dropped significantly in rankings. Sites that I constantly update weren't so much affected at all.

Link building became harder ever since the update.

I agree. It seems that the new algorithm revolves around sites that are constantly updating content and if you stop with content updating they tend to drop your rankings. I don't think it was like this a few years ago.

Did Google throw a tantrum on your website rankings like a 4 year old child?

I hate Panda. :( seems like Google
Destroyed many good sites amongst their quest to supposedly make SERPS results better.

Google hasnt destroyed anything. Those sites are still there. Google has no debt or obligation to any site to be on page 1. Anyone that has been online for long enough will know that panda is not the first major update that has impacted thousands of people. And everyone that derives their income now mainly from traffic from google, needs to understand that they too may lose all their traffic. If they are smart and plan accordingly, they wont be heavily impacted.

I dont necessarily like all the updates they do. In some ways, we are all affected either positively or negatively, and usually if it is positive, its temporary.
The main thing is not be solely reliant and base your entire life on it. If someone had a site at the top of google for years, and earnt significant amounts -> should they not be grateful for the time they had on top? I guarantee you that if I am at the top of google for years, that I wont be crying when I lose that spot. But rather I would be thankful for the time I spent there and for the income I received.

People need to remember Google is not the only source of traffic. ;)

If Google isn't working for you, try something else.

I believe many sites have been affected by google panda. One of its purpose is to lessen the spams and those who are using black hat campaign.

Distributed substance only for the blazes of movement is not a smart thought. This is the primary motivation behind why Google made the Panda upgrade.
