If you're just going to make a blog for yourself, you might consider just making a blog on wordpress.com (the hosted free blogging platform based on wordpress.org)
If you're considering making such a site for learning purposes, then chose any old host which fit your budget - I wouldn't suggest Hostgator or GoDaddy, really - their prices are good, but the support sucks, and you don't really get much for your money. Depending on where you're based, it might also be smart to get a host with native language speakers in the support department, maybe somewhere local.

You could try and sign up for free Wordpress or Blogger subdomains, and/or even save your own domains in them. They provide free hosting, which is for the best if you're new to having a website, don't go into the complicated stuff yet if you're just going to be a content writer!

I agree with tentationem, if you are new to these platforms then I suggest you go for free hosting that these platforms offer.
Besides, if you've decided that you want to move to another hosting then you are free to do that.
You can look for a good paid one later one, if you know the work around.

We would love to earn you business. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns with GoDaddy's hosting. We have a very well reviewed new Managed WordPress Hosting that may fit your needs.

Are you familiar with any control panels (like cPanel)?

Do you need "managed" hosting where (almost) everything can be handled by the host or do you do things yourself (like using script installers)?

    Hello Anh,
I reccomend you to check out here: http://wpflipper.com/.
The basic web hosting would cost you only $5.99 per month and then I can set up a site for you at no extra costs - yes for free.
All you have to do next is to fill the site with text, photos, videos you desire.

In case you have some questions feel free to ask.

    Roky

@GORF I've tried free hosting like hostinger.vn (im from VN) and 1freehosting be4, but it seems slowly loading. I am kind of familiar with Cpanel. I know to install WP and others. I am currently working with some IT guys and get my self familiar with WP dashboard more.

Hello @Spermij , are you doing this business or are you doing affiliate with inmotion hosting? I don't need someone to install plugins for me. I think i can do it my self. hihi :)

Yes I'm promoting it, but regardless of this, it's a good hosting anyway.
If we put this apart, I'm really glad you can do it on your own. It's admirable.
    Wish you lot of success.

I recently had a great deal of trouble with my hosting as well. I switched 24 hours ago to SiteGround. Their customer service blew me away.

I reccomend you to check out here: https://www.hostinglions.com/ ( not a affiliate link )
I have few websites hosted there and they helped me when I need help. my opinion is go with good VPS if you have knowledge to manage things. I only test the shared hosting in this site hope they'll do the same for other packages.
