    Hello,

    I can't PM any staff member it seems.

    I received a warning for one of my posts. I posted under the Marketing forum about ideas on how to spread around giveaways more effectively.

    I'm not sure why my post was flagged, I was trying to ask a question about marketing...? Or did I misread that.

    Can a Staff member please explain a bit in further detail what was wrong with it? The email included the original post, so I can PM someone to take a look at it.

    I'm not really sure about this, but it normally happens when Akismet (an anti-spam service) flags your content as spam. I've just taken a look at your posting and can see that you've posted about 4-5 links in your replies/threads. Maybe, Akismet is viewing them as spam. Try personalizing your messages and instead of just making posts with a couple of sentences, try to elaborate your points in a more detailed way.

    Hope it helps. Someone from the staff can best explain though.

    The only infraction i see is on the thread "Fiver and Twitter" which was started in the Google category.

    If you go to https://forums.digitalpoint.com, you will see the list of fourms/categories. By mousing over the category you will find a description of the category. The description for the Google category states

    The search engine. This is for discussion of Google as a company, not for a discussion of individual sites (SEO, Pagerank for a site, or "why does a site rank where it does" questions) or Google search results.

    In your thread "Fiver and Twitter" you are asking a SEO question - Will google rank me down if I'm ... Thread now resides in SEO category.

    I was actually referring to one of my threads that got removed, it was under Marketing. I was asking about ideas to spread around a Giveaway and get more participants into a raffle?

    Give a good read on DP TOS thats make you educate how you should use your marketing and posts proper way....good luck hope no more warnings,,,:eek:
