small adult blogs will fail. you have no future

    I have 2 blogs. 1 adult and 1 non adult.

    Many days searching forums and I find 90% of people who have adult content blogs have given up and dropped their domains. The rest seem to have little or no traffic.

    I believe this is because the adult content leaders dominate this space and most small adult blogs appear to be just spammy and link to a link to a link to gain affiliate sales.

    Anyone think a small adult blog run by one person could gain any substantial traffic? 10k plus uniques daily?

    I suspect many are owned by non-Americans who think that all Americans are addicted to porn and throw their money about.

    The reality is different and while a fool and his money can always be parted it's not that simple.

    Sites need fresh and unique content so you need to either reviewing other people's content or you need to be generating your own.

    If you are in a less liberal country you are going to have a hard time generating your own content - and I'd suggest you'd find it tricky even in the US. Where does the average internet marketer go to find girls willing to degrade themselves? And the guys they'll do it with? And pay for all the cameras?

    I'd say a small adult blog could survive, it's not a numbers game - it's about being rewarded for your effort. One blog that does it right won't be dragged down by all the dross.

    Very well put. generating or reviewing content must be a major deciding factor in the success of a blog. not just regurgitating others content.

    My adult site is not about porn but porn is a large part of the adult entertainment community so i will still give it the respect it deserves.

    Is great unique content what will make my blog stand out from the millions?
    only time will tell I guess but I will put serious effort into generating what i believe is content that is unique and of quality.

    I would love to hear from people who have experience in this field

    10k/day is possible I should say. But you would have to write interestingly. like me, users like funny ones such as fleshasiadaily.com
    If you have 10K hits a day which adnetwork dyou plan to sign?

    Competition means there is money to be made. Although I highly suspect adult affiliate sites have taken a hit from all those free porn sites.

    monetizing is something im not going to think about too much until I hit a decent number like 10k a day.

    I agree adult affiliate is not what it used to be with all the free and easy access content.

    the domain name you posted Ann times out and wont load for me, took a look at its archive and dont see too much funny there. humor is a great idea to spice up a site and attract recurring visitors.

    This is a good reason why you should actually consider buying traffic instead. Advertising your adult site to an ad network as the higher chance of getting traffic than doing back linking. Advertise your adult site into a network, that's what big players do. SEO will never work on adult sites.

    And although your site has the potential to really be loved by all the maniacs in the world,you wont have the chance to outrank websites even when you aren't directly competitor. Its more likely you'd be outranked by a celeb site using blogspot page.

    that would be smart to join a network or purchase traffic but I am going to try to be as organic as possible.
    I am not trying to make a fortune so just love seeing 6 thousand uniques a day from organic sources.

    Maybe I am dreaming to think a site could become hugely popular without the methods you mentioned.
