Selling NoteCranny Online Note Sharing

I spent hours coding and designing this website and building it up so it is completely ready to go. The idea of the website is unique but still good. I looked around and there are virtually no other websites doing this exact thing right now. It would be very easy to build this website up and make money off it. The reason I am selling it right now is because I'm a poor college student at the moment and don't have the money to invest in advertise in it to get it started.

    Domain: http://notecranny.com

Currently there is no traffic to the website (because I have not been advertising it) nor is there any revenue (because I don't have any ads placed on it)

    Features of the site:

    -Add a Note
--Add a note through a text box
--Add a note through a file (png, jpeg, gif, pdf, ppt, doc, rtf, txt)

    -Edit a Note
    --Edit the title/subject/keywords/note body
    --Edit your own notes
--Edit any notes if you are an admin/mod

    -Delete a Note
    --Delete your own notes
--Delete any note if you are an admin/mod

    -Search Notes
    --Enter search query
    --Limit by subject
--Sort by date submitted or rating or views

    -My Notes

--Three most recent notes with subject/author/note title with link
    --Site stats (users registered/notes submitted)

    -Admin CP
    --Stats
---Notes submitted (including totals for each subject and totals for each type of note (document, image, text, etc.)
    ---Total Note Views

    --Reports

minimum/maximum note character length, minimum/maximum note file size, allowed note file extensions, minimum/maximum note title length, minimum/maximum password length, minimum/maximum username length, maximum profile pic size, maximum profile pic dimension, maximum profile picture width:height ratio, disallowed usernames (this feature searches the username to find the string of text you enter anywhere in the username and is case-insensitive)

    --Quick Functions
---Easily edit/delete note from view note page when signed in as an admin/mod
---Easily ban author and delete note from view note page when signed in as admin

    -Mobile Friendly
--Website has automatic built in mobile layout that changes whenever a mobile browser is detected (all functions of the site still work even while using a mobile browser)

I will also personally install the script/databases on your server and get you all set up and ready to go, make any minor changes you want to the script and put ads on the website for you wherever you want.

This is a very custom script, I coded the entire thing so if you want anything changed or have any questions feel free to ask!

Here are some images of all the functions of the site (including the admin CP):

Logo isn't amazing but it was done very quickly.

It's the cheap host I'm currently using. Sorry, it isn't actually part of the website.

And that site was sold a year ago, the owner decided not to pursue the idea. So that site is not competition it simply exists. If you look there hasn't been any legitimate use of the site over the past year.

I tried to BIN for the site but am told that :
    The following error occurred:
This sale requires potential buyers to have a linked premium or business PayPal account. You can link your account over here.

Can you please find out as to why that is and let me know?
According to the owner of DP this is all to do with the seller and nothing to do with the new and improved DP system

    Still says:

According to Shawn, the owner of DP this is due to some thing that you have done and is nothing to do with the DP systems!

Read the message you posted (the message is to you). The seller is requiring YOU (the potential buyer) to have a linked PayPal account. The seller only allows bids from users with a linked PayPal account. It's an option that's disabled by default, but it's a requirement the seller enabled for this auction.

Yes Shawn and that is what you said to me last time when a similar situation had arisen.
That is that the requirement for the potential buyer to have a linked Paypal account is the result of the restriction placed by the seller on the sales page.
As you say, "It's an option that's disabled by default, but it's a requirement the seller enabled for this auction."
That is why I have been trying to tell the seller that the restriction is due to an action taken by the seller.

I had a similar situation last time when the seller insisted that he did nothing to add this restriction.

Is it at all possible that "disabled by default" part fails due to a glitch and the restriction manifests it self without any action by the seller?

The problem is that if I pay directly to him after such a restriction has been placed on the sales page, it would add yet another negative payment record on my profile! It would be false information as I would have paid for the site, but it would still be there.

I doubt it... internally it's very straightforward... enabled it and it works, disable it and it's disabled.

The fact that the seller doesn't even know what it is suggests they probably mis-clicked it blindly when creating the sale. Either way, the seller can disable the restriction anytime they want by editing the sale.

At what point *exactly* are you seeing the error? And what does it look like (screenshot would be helpful)?

If you can give me that, I can at least look into it to make sure... Right now it doesn't appear that the restriction exists on the sale, so it's possible the seller removed it, but if you want to try it now and get the error, I can look into it.
