    We are holding a logo contest. Above is the color pallet that we are looking for but please feel free to change slightly. We are trying to keep the color red to a true deep red to avoid the appearance of orange.

    The logo is for a Hawaii based nonprofit company that sells the local high schools merchandise any thing from T-shirts to coffe mugs and bags.

    One of our ideas is having a sugar mill train like the one attached as the logo. Looking for a homemade wood burned feel to the design of the logo similar to the fish burn that is also attached (THE LOGO SHOULD NOT INCLUDE A FISH). You will find the Kahuku High current logo in the files and we would like a space for it on the train but the logo will be changed in the future so please save as a separate layer.

    This logo should be comprised of simple lines but catching details.


    Words that should be in the logo:

    “Red Line Express” (primary phrase)

    “Kahuku.org” (secondary phrase)

    These are great submissions but we are looking for a more realistic look to the train. The idea is it should look like it was burned onto a piece of wood.[​IMG] [​IMG]

    You can see how these were designed to look like wood burned logos. Especially the top logo represents what we are looking for. You can ignore the color scheme and simply do an outline design on a wood background.

    @pehulz That is a good start now adding in the phrases in a clever fashion would be the next step.

    @akosvan That also is a great submission but my client has specified that they would like the logo to have more of a realist feel to it and appear like a wood burned logo. If you could put this logo on a background and make it appear more as a burn that would be great.
