Is it possible to track E-mail id of person who have visited my site?

I have experienced this earlier, Recently when i visited one website and after that i closed it and didn't enter any details in that website. But within half an hour i got e-mail from there website.
I hadn't entered any personal details still i got e-mail from there website. So how can this be possible.

Can any one guide me regarding this?
