    impossible to say IMO.......

Depends on the devices that come out, and consumer trends..

Social media may decline in the future, but then the Web will be around for a while... or other digital tech may make things worthwhile..

I think mobile marketing will only continue to grow and take over print marketing almost entirely.
Other than that, I think everything else is up in the air.

Really curious what other channels will emerge in 2020

New inventions or devices coming out might play vital role in future marketing however I don't see any decline in social meda usage. The way the usage of social media is on rise, I believe it will always grow further.

Mobile marketing is certainly going to grow up as everyone is using mobiles these days and there will be more mobiles in the coming future than now. The world is getting more digital.

    Thats true,
there is no doubt that Mobile Marketing will have very vital role in future internet marketing.

I don't think everything will be mobile. Come on, not everyone is going to be on their mobile phones 24/7, but mobile marketing and traffic will increase so much that their will be new markets and opportunities to be tapped into.

There will be other social media marketing giants emerging and providing advertising platforms like Facebook ads.

Marketing laws & traffic platforms will be stricter in what you can and not say in your advertising.

Blackhat methods will always exist.

I know nothing can be said for sure.
The way things are getting digitalized, any thing is possible. A new device, new tactics, new marketing strategies will be elaborated with time.

I think content and results will be more targeted. Search engines will be more focused on searches.

    Good question!

I think marketing will have to become more interactive in order to get consumers attention. More and more consumers are developing ad blinders and pay far less attention to them as they have in the past.

With social media platforms, ad sense across the web etc consumers know that they are being sold on a continuous bases causing them to lose trust in ads. The feeling is that all ads do is want to take something from you (our money).

Marketers will have to get more creative in how they engage consumers. A dialogue has to be started which in turns builds trust, brand loyalty and repeat sales. The give a discount get a sale tactic is continuing to become less effective.

I think there are a lot of little changes to keep happening and evolving. Something changes everyday. I think we are drastically moving toward a much more relationship focused environment where you are going to have to know someone who knows someone, then work hard to make them happy to get in front of the real people you want to. Google gets more strict all the time as far as what is allows and accepts. With more products and information than most people can ever imagine, never mind handle the overwhelm is out of control...

Nice table you have shared :)
I believe there will be more search engines in the future and Google's dominancy will finish.

It will be the era of mobile marketing, because time is money. And if your business has no mobile app, so it will be really difficult to survive on the market

I think that in future digital marketing will be more effective than online marketing: mobile applications (promotional), ibeacon etc.

I read three pages if post AND NO ONE mentioned EMAIL.. Everyone and i mean everyone has email, and almost everyone has there account synched to there phone. Alot of email adresses are going to be bought from smaller to medium size sites: 100 -50,000 members+ by people with $$$ in niches so they can actually target the right audience with a catchy subject. If some one purchases the email list frim DP and mass emails with a subject line related to dolls. Epic fail. Hence the targeting.
