    I just set up adverts for my site, what does this mean for every 6000 impressions i'll get $2.9?

    Your math is correct but thats just figuratively speaking. In reality it will probably be lower.

    As per my calculation your cpm rate is 0.48$ that mean for every thousand impressions you will get 0.48$. What adnetwork you are using?

    My advice would be that you wait and gather at least 1000 views before calculating your CPM rate. You just had 6 views.

    One of the most common mistakes for publishers is calculating CPM rate after a few impressions.
    Most ad networks, including us at Propeller Ads, need some time to test your traffic to find most profitable ad campaigns for your audience.
    The more traffic your send, the less time it takes.
    For low traffic websites optimization may take some days.

    You can't tell anything after 6 impressions... after 60,000 maybe
