Just curious if we have some very wealthy members here in DP. Maybe Shawn has one. I think I could already afford one with all my savings if I live in the US, but the tax for import cars here in my country is unbelievably high. My country has even been labelled as the second highest car prices in the world.
Not a supercar by any means, but a "sports car" (2012 Subaru STI). When I used to purchase new, salvaged vehicles (minor accidents) and send them to Asia to have them repaired and sold, the amount of taxes some countries charged was amazingly high.
It's certainly not a super car by most definitions, but it is a big ole American luxury car that I drive here in the US: The above is just a stock photo, but it looks almost exactly like my parchment gold-colored 2003 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series (love the moonroof!) Of course, I have put 240,000 miles on it, so it is not worth much these days to anyone but me. For me, as a sometime road warrior, this car is so large and comfortable and has such a soft ride, that putting on hundreds of driving miles every day is much more tolerable. So, for me, it is indeed a supercar because it allows me to do my job with a modicum of comfort. Probably not so much for anyone else. It is my fourth Lincoln in a row since 1985, by the way...
