Need some SEO advice

Hi,

I have a Jewelry site, which is in my signature.
This site is about 2 and a half years old but it still has no page rank whatsoever.
It gets loads of views a month and averaging about 15 USD a day.
Most of the viewers are from google images, as most of the images are ranked quite well. When it comes down to the keywords search from google, it tends to not rank well.
How do I rank better for keyword search rather than from the image search? am I doing anything wrong?

First of all, you shoul take care of markup errors of your site. W3C Validator is showing 53 markup errors - it is a very, very huge number! Maybe it would be easier to change the whole design rather then correcting those errors one by one. This should be your first step. Do this and we'll see what to do next. You might be looking at this the wrong way, you said most of your visitors come from a google image search. Why don't you setup a pinterest account and gain more traffic that way?

 

The question was not how to get more image traffic but how to get more web search traffic.

 

You should start reading quality blogs like moz, searchengineland, etc that will keep you updatedregarding the latest marketing trends.Try totarget long tail keywords instead of profitable keywords. First optimize your website according to SEO point of view (means on-page seo), then go for off-page activities and start generating high-quality backlinks.You will not find things working out instantly, but your website will appear on top positions on Google SERP gradually.

 

You use <meta name="keywords" itemprop="keywords" , but you shouldn't do this. Google treat this like an attempt to influence SERP and cal lower your site...

Most of your links are no follow, you don't use your main keyword Jewelry Inspiration almost at all. The quality of your links is low and you are not using social media. At this rate you will never rank. You need to start building quality links and using social media.

well first of all you need to track the currents stat of your keyword, assume that you have your keyword already selected, now start link building and start from web2.0 sites and move on to social signals and high pr commenting. well if you can add the juice of press releases which will ultimately rank your keywords with in a month or two, as you are having an aged domain, so i m sure t will rank pretty fast, during this period you should constantly track your keywords to know the progress untill you achieve first page rankings.

 

I would use Social Media sites for more visitors then! Build Social Bookmarking backlinks, use Forums too!

 

First of all, what are your desired keywords to rank for? Do they have a low competition and tons of monthly searches? If this is what you are lacking, you should find out how your competitors are ranking very well with their keywords. It's decent that you earn an average of $15/day. Perhaps you should consider making your site an authority by engaging into social media optimization and marketing. Post on related fan pages, groups and so on. I hope this really helps you a bit.
