Contest Logo for a neurologist - 100 USD

Hello,

I am a neurologist planning to opening a doctor´s office soon. Hence I am in need of a corporate identity, though for the start I am opening a job for a logo only. To give a more detailed idea on what I am looking for here are some main criterias for the logo to be met:

-) The logo should inflict an association to neurology - e.g. by "brain" or "nerve" or other more creative associations.

-) It should be inspiring confidence and should be having a respectable feeling.

-) The text should be "XXXXXX" (=my name (EDIT: I replaced the name in order to not being listed in Google when searching for my name -> to see my name please have a look at the already publicated logo sketches - thx)), eventually one could use "Facharzt für Neurologie" (=doctor for neurology) a little smaller and offset, so to say as a 'slogan'.

-) The logo should be capable of being fit into Webdesign and Printdesign (Business card, Invoice, etc.) easily.

-) It should be rather "flat", meaning a clean modern design which would not use too many colors and would be light weighted for the eye.

-) The format should be vector based (.EPS) as well as one pixel based format at high resolution (e.g. .PSD).

-) Rights on the logo will be passed on to me on payment.


Further jobs for other parts of the corporate identity might follow.

In case this is not a matter of course to anybody: Of course I don´t want any copy work, nor any copyright infringements being done by the logo created.

@exilegraphics, these are nice though not yet totally what I am searching for -> not special enough.

@MrQuan, thanks, though I cannot see the link between a neurologist and a peace sign - I mean if I get the idea you meant to express confidence and stuff like that with that sign, though I doubt my patients would get that association.


I hope you are not getting me wrong here. I am not trying to critisize anyone but rather trying to give sincere feedback in order to give a better idea on what I am looking for.

@CPGraphics #9, This one looks to me a little too much comic-ish so to say (my patients would be adults only (and usually rather older adults than younger adults)).

@julia87 #10, looks interesting, allthough I don´t get the concept of the lines on the richt side of the brain. Also I don´t like the font too much, but basically it´s kinda the right feeling...

@CPGraphics #11, again too much like a comic. I mean if it wasn´t for my doctor´s office I would consider that logo fine (e.g. for a health-app or something like that), but for the office it´s just not giving the right amount of confidence/seriosity imho.

@MrQuan #12, Imho too "overloaded", sorry.

@katesrobyn #13 and #14, Interesting and imho one of the best ones so far, allthough as well it kinda looks to some extend a little too comic-ish.

@guideline #15, imho so far probably the best one. Gives a good harmony between Text, "Slogan" and Logo and gives some good association. Somehow I miss that "special thing" that makes it unique though.

Again please don´t take my feedback as critisizing, I am just trying to give a better feeling on what I am looking for. Also I wonder why all of you keep using brains as there would be nerves for good associations as well or one could probably stylisize some neural part within the text or something like that... what I am meaning to express here is that probably other associative parts could work out better than a brain...
