Yes, this is the legal way to share others' content through your own website(s).

Do not copying any content if you want to get banned from search engine, you can do it.
I think even when you publish live link in post you also get banned due to unreliable links, search engine from google just crawl you link not you contents. Its mean you content still post as duplicate content.

I'm so surprised to see this in the legal section of the forums without anyone mentioning copyright.

Providing a link back to the original content does not make it OK to use anyone else's content you choose. While there are some instances where the original author may state on their site that they allow that, most site owners will hit you with a DMCA notice if you are lucky, or a lawsuit if you aren't.

There are two issues at play...copyright law and SEO/Google. In the long run, what Google does or does not do about copied content is irrelevant. Content copied from one sit to another, without the original site owner's permission is copyright infringement. RSS feeds provide a bit of a gray area because most site owners do not understand what the term syndication means. RSS feeds by their nature, give other sites permission to use the content provided in the feed. If the feed only contains an excerpt, they have only given you permission to use the excerpt. If you are not using RSS feeds, simply visiting another site and copying and pasting news or other articles is not something you should be doing - it is copyright infringement.

Its all Depends from which website you are taking /copy contents,
Some websites allow but in some terms and conditions of course,.
I will advise you same as YMC said use RSS feed, by this way actually website allow their contents. so there will be no Copyright or Google problem.
If any site have not service for RSS feed? you must read their terms and conditions if they allow their contents in some terms or not.

Edit: Even if you copy and show resource website and owner of site does not actually allow this? it will be Copyright infringement issue

You should re-write the news after confirming the news is valid with reference the sources of news. You may change the thought process and comments area. Moreover, you can purchase the news, if any sales option. Content should be precise.

Scott has a good point though.
I've done it before. I've made my own content based on a specific topic but sometimes when I quoted a content I make sure to point a link on the original source.
    Either would do. :)

    Greetings!

Check if the source website has an RSS and use it. If none, then read the whole story, summarize it, give your own opinion, and cite the link to the source site. This helps you create a unique content and build up your credibility because you are able to digest the news and express your opinion about it.

    I wish you well.

    :)

My simple solution is this :

1: Have my auto rss grabber grab different types of News from different types of sites, then it sends that content to
my spinrewriter and spins it so its almost 80% unique and then posts it. And its quite ok to read as well for a human :)

It also grabs pictures and removes any hyperlinks from the post

Its the same News, but writen somewhat different, and its unique enought so that Google wont
    penalize you.

Getting the news from some source (even from RSS feed) and having it re-written by a spinner or a human do not make you the owner. You still have to acknowledge the source. It is called respect for copyright. Do the right thing: Acknowledge the source; provide a back link.

I would rewrite using their information anyone who will be interested in reading your website will want it to have an original format or perspective - if you just copy other write ups what is the draw for people to view your website. Be as original as you can use links when news may seem a little unbelievable

From my experience you should read the news first, and then try to spin it with your own words. That's the best resource i got so far

From a legal perspective, not even addressing Google rank and penalties and what not, content is copyrighted, even if it does not say it is copyrighted. There is an international agreement that applies to just about every country. So the owner can come back and sue you. If it's coming from the associated press, less likely they will sue you, but from time to time small time people are sued to make an example out of them, so the word gets out. On the other hand I have noticed that people often get rich by breaking the law and once the law catches up to them, they give up a lot, but not all of it.

    that's not true.

I would bet half the internet, if not more, is made up of duplicate content, and
I have seen my fair share of sites that I would call "duplicate" content
based sites that have pretty high authority, however, they are more
creative than the avg site, and it would take some skill, and imagination
in order to pull something like that off.

Even with duplicate content, if you can provide your visitors
that wow factor, then you have a decent chance of making it,
of course, unique content is always better, but it is not always
just about the content, it is also how it is presented that will get
visitors to engage, and a lot of people miss the mark....

It goes beyond the content itself. If you cant get visitors to do
anything or they do not trust your site, then to them, you are
nothing more than another walking dead zombie site...

It does not matter if you have duplicate or unique content.
If your visitors do not engage/click, then you are simply dead.

Do you know the news is one of the core sources of writing. We have 1 news, but the writing skill is differ in all. Better to rewrite or use your expertise/knowledge on subject.
