You could connect with other students who are majoring in the same thing. You could also use Social Networks to connect with other students on your campus.

It is you and only you, who can decide for what purpose the social networks can be used.
So take the benefits of education from them.

Students can change information with each other which is really useful, download necessary files, sometimes even stay in contact with their professors, follow the news about the place where they are studying, etc.

Try to find at social networks students and people that are related with your studies. Get in contact with them. It will be perfect if you find people that are working in universities as profs which will help your studies a lot more.

Actually there are social networking sites which are specifically for educational use. Some sites will allow you to read study sources and academic articles. Some like Ivy Ties will allow you to connect with other past, present or prospective students or the universities you are interested in. There are also social networking sites where students sell used books and other items.
Its upto you to select the best one according to your need.

It simply helps you group together with your mates from the campus, either to discuss the studying process or some other issues.

There are several informational sites on Facebook. Search snd follow, and you'll get tons of info on a daily basis. Also, social networkz are for interaction and connection. This means being able to connect with students like you from your school perhaps, and exchange ideas about lessons.

Searching for academic groups on Facebook and Google+ within your subject areas is quite easy and connects you to people studying the same thing, also these groups are frequented by experts in these areas.

You can join groups in Facebook for your specific field of study. There are many things you can do on social media, like search for pages relating your studies. It is up to you to maximize it for your own benefit.
