One question. I know 301 redirects were great before. For example you have a site with no backlinks or pagerank, and you purchase some dumb domain name (for example 'hsfahsd33 dot org') with plenty of backlinks and page rank 4 or 5, or even 6, and just redirect that domain towards your new site. I know it was great before because al those backlinks are now being redirected towards your new site and its rank on google will be increased. My question is, is something like that still allowed or now it may cause google ban or something?

    Thanks

It's not exactly white hat, but it does still work. You won't receive the former site's page rank, but page authority is transferred. It will have a positive effect assuming the former page had quality backlinks.

Page Rank has little or no relationship with the actual rankings of your website. I have seen websites with PR 2 beating websites with PR5. There are no fixed rules and PR is just another gimmick just to mislead new SEOs as well as SEO Clients.

On the Contrary getting ONLY backlinks from high pr site can actually hurt your rankings.

Google hasn't updated Page rank of sites since October 2013. I think next google page rank update is very close now and your site might get PR while google update's it's PR.

What is your goal with that website? PR or visitors?

Pagerank would not help you to rank better. Just get your top3 competitors and analyze their backlinks: number, sources, type... This way you can understand what they do to get more visitors.

Google pagerank is dead now. Officials said that it won't be updated anymore!
Personally, I don't know if they change their minds. In short, they're Google, they can do whatever they think of! But as of now, PR is dead.

Google takes around a year each time to update PR. I don't even worry about it any more. A more accurate authority stat is Domain authority from moz and Trust flow from majesticseo

Good news for you, each and every website on internet is going to be PR0 soon!!

Google hasn't updated page ranks for quite some time and they are going to stop indicating PR numbers soon.

This doesn't influence in any way on how Google algorithm gauges webpages and rank them in search results. But you can't easily make out how Google is gauging your competitor's webpages.

    Forget PR.

Google is discontinuing the PageRank, they will probably totally remove it from the Toolbar:
    http://sparkjunction.com/stream/google-phase-out-pagerank.htm

Focus on visitor numbers, forget PR. It's senseless. In 2015 you can completely forget about it.

Then, use the MOZ Toolbar, the Alexa Toolbar, Open Site Explorer to track you site's strength, quality.

Trust me this is the case for everyone since Google has stopped updating the PR system. I go by the Moz.com system with authority for all of my affiliation sites.

It doesn't matter that the domain is 1 year old, the thing that matters is how many backlinks from high pagerank websites are pointing to your website. 49 backlinks may not be enough and you'll have to see whether the pages that the links are coming from are relevant to your niche and whether they have the pagerank themselves.

Also, you have to keep in mind that pagerank is not updated immediately... Google updates the pagerank from time to time so even if you get good pagerank backlinks, you may not see the pagerank for your website immediately. However, if you keep on building good links you'll certainly see the pagerank for your website sooner or later :)

Yes, it seems the MOZ ranking metrics will gain more importance in 2015.

You can create more than 30 high PR Profile Back Links. But be noted, the profiles must contain at least 5 threads and then see the result.
