    and in Off page optimization, do the classifieds, social media and networking, article submission, blog commenting and blog posting, locals and forum posting.

    Since you did not mention the website and the keyword you're targeting, it is hard to tell what you're going to do.

    First thing first:
    1. Identify the keyword(s) you want to rank in search engine
    2. Make some research about the keyword you are targeting
    3. Check your competitors, are they authority sites? How they did their contents and navigations, where their link came from/
    4. Check your site structure and content be sure they are search engine and user friendly
    5. Try to get back links from sites that related to your niche
    6. Get some social media exposure
