How to get Affiliate sign-ups for our program.

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by Somen, Nov 24, 2014.

We have a product listed on Amazon and it sells well.

We want to boost our sales and need direct affiliates to sign-up with our in-house affiliate-program.

Can anyone suggest / recommend means, how can we get more affiliate sign-ups?

I am overwhelmed with all the information available in this forum. While we would like to use the Digital Point forum to promote our affiliate program, I really do not know where to begin.

    Thanks in advance. :)

Actually, we are not considering any of the networks immediately. We have an in-house program and we are planning to get sign-ups to this. We may consider using CJ type networks at some stage, if our efforts do not yield desired results. Thanks.:)

So your target audience in this case is "affiliates".

There are hundreds and hundreds of sites out there that are used for JV purposes where you can recruit affiliates. For instance, Warrior Forum is one decent place to start off with where they have a full JV section. You are already doing it on DP so that's good.

Just curious, have you developed your own JV/affiliate page where JVs would be able to find material for marketing your product? If you have a page already developed, why not try PPC ads probably on Facebook choosing affiliate marketers as your target audience?

Of course, you can search for affilaite/JV groups on Facebook, there are many out there.

Just spend a few good few hours, and you will know where you want to head.

Did you try Bing Ads? It could be relatively inexpensive to get affiliate signups that way.

Somen, don't believe all information you see online. Most of it is actually counter-productive and it will just push you to the wrong direction.

Anyway, have you tried using Shareasale? I know that you want to use in-house affiliate management BUT sometimes it is better to use other people's affiliates. Acquiring quality affiliates is not an easy task nowadays, yes there are many affiliates out there but only 10% of them will produce good results.

I think Bing Ads will not be as effective as affiliate network directories.

    Awesome.

I think I have enough ideas right now to initiate the process. I already have a post on the WF and it has received a good amount of traffic.

Thanks a ton to all of you. :)

Chad, this is a product in the health and fitness niche. It goes with the name of Diet Standards. If you Google the phrase, "diet standards - amino 1000", you should come across the Amazon product listing page. :)

So they're amino acid supplements? Definitely, make sure that you have an "Affiliate's" page with good SEO then, as I'm sure there are affiliate marketers who go to Google and search for those sorts of programs". - (90 searches per month for "supplement affiliate program" according to AdWords tool. So about 3 a day, which is something).

    Regards

    Jason

Thanks Jason. We do have organic traffic. We would also like to have some paid traffic now. Also, the product user base is quite high (530+ reviews). We need some more affiliates to boost the sales even further.

Thanks Chad. It indeed is a great niche.

Get your products listed on review type sites. Find out who the top marketers are in your niche and provide them with a awesome offer to start promoting your product to their list. Give them great value bonuses so that the sale of your product is a real "no brainer", by attracting a few top marketers, you normally land up attracting more since they're on each others mailing lists and word spreads fast amongst them.
