Book Cover Contest $75 Paypal for book cover front and back + $25 for final adjustments.

I need a book cover designed for my book coming out in January.

Cover submissions should include:

Title: Your Body Relationship: Overcoming Weight Obsession

Author: Lemuela Christina Duskis M.Ed.

A front and back cover:

Front cover:
I would like the book to have my picture on the front cover, could be just my face, half body or whole body, using the picture attached, but I think I would prefer full body.
Please cut me out of the back ground.
I want my readers to get the idea when they look at the cover of my book that it is possible to have a healthy relationship with your body, stop dieting, and be in shape.

I want the cover to be cheerful, bright, happy, and simple.

I would like the main colors to be turquoise and yellow.

Back cover:

Please include my website on the back cover. www.lemuelachristina.com.
As well as my logo, if it's possible and looks good. It is attached as "lemuela christina on white". If you just put the heart without my name, that would be fine too, either way.

I have to turn the cover into the publisher completely finished. The spine size may also need to be adjusted. Currently the interior of my book is being formatted.
As of right now they said to plan for the spine to be 1/2 an inch wide.
The trim size is 6 by 9 inches.
The back cover will need to have a space in one of the corners for the bar code and isbn number. It needs to be 2 inches wide and 1.2 inches tall.

When the design is complete and I have chosen the winner, I will need you to add my summary text onto the back of the book. This I can email to you personally, since it won't allow me to upload the text here. It is a lot of text, so if you want me to email it to you before you start working on the cover for the contest, just let me know.

I will give you an additional $25 to adjust the spine and make any minor adjustments when I hear back from my publisher that the interior formatting is complete.

Please provide me with the PDF format as well as the working file in case I need to make any changes later.


The contest will run through Monday evening, November 17th. I will post on Tuesday if I have chosen a submission for my cover or if I am still in need of a cover that I like.

Here's my concept. The image on the cover is just a placeholder, not a final cutout. the image you provided is way to small for a print cover of a 6x9 book at 300 dpi. A much larger resolution would be needed for a quality design. If you don't have a larger format of the same image than another high res image of you is highly recommended.
Same goes for the author image. I just took it from your website but for print a higher resolution would be better. Also, you should have your logo in vector or a large png format so it can be scaled properly.
