What does Adsense mean by, no excessive profanity?

    The TOS says:

Don't include any prohibited site content, including adult content, violence or excessive profanity, drugs (including alcohol and tobacco), or copyrighted material.

So you are allowed some profanity on your site, but how much on 1 page?

    Hello,

I guess they meant you can use profanity to express your feelings on some instances/situations and does not specifically refer to anyone, it can also be use when quoting texts from other sources.

The usage of profanity is not limited to a fix number but it should be use in a controlled amount such as when you strongly feel that it is appropriate/necessary to include them to describe the situation.

However, the usage of profanity shouldn't be use to create hatred speech which will stir up tension among a certain group of people or use on a specific individual.

In short, make sure you don't harm anyone via the usage of profanity and try to avoid them whenever possible.

    Regards

Make sure you know who your audience is. For example , if your traffic is kids , avoid using any profanity.

Why does that make any difference. The Adsense terms and conditions apply regardless of who the audience is.
