It would be extremely convenient to have a feature similar new posts that instead shows newly created threads. This button could be placed right next to the "New Posts" button and this way there would be a fast and easy way to display new threads.
Does not sound like a bad idea. Now, how applicable and easy to implement that would be is another question that the admins can better answer
Yes, I think this would be a good idea. At least this can help us to better differentiate among new latest post and latest new thread.
It shouldn't be difficult. I am not an expert on XenForo, but the creation dates of the threads are most certainly recorded in the database. A query ordering the threads in ascending order would do the trick. That would be great. This way users like myself wouldn't need to go through threads created back in 2007 when browsing the forum.
2007? if you find a spammy or unnecessary bump to an ancient thread we'd love you to report it and we'll sort it out. We don't want those old threads coming back to life either as the advice included is often well out of date.
Yeah, I give thumbs up for implementation this feature. But I think less old threads are bumped now as compared to vBulletin time. Still it will be easier for anyone to get the old thread bumped & can be reported.
