Western Union payment question

    Hi,

    I have an issued check yesterday, payable via Western Union.
    Am I supposed to get a transaction code or something? I know these are required to cash something from WU.

    How does this work?

    its called a MCTN (money control transfer number) which your party issuing the cash has to give to you

    Its Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) Consisting Of 10 Numbers.

    Tell this MTCN to the western union quich cash counter and take your money. Make Sure you get the MTCN.

    Also Take Your Government Issued ID With You To have The Money.

    Hmm, you guys are missing my question. I've used WU before for regular transfers, I know how it works. My question is WHERE am I getting this MTCN for my Google Adsense payment that just cleared yesterday?

    You'll find the info in your payment history page. Visit that page and check the last entry. It should be a link called "payment issued". Click on that and you'll come to a page which has all the details you need including the MTCN

    I have big big problems with western union when I am trying to cash out from Italy.. I give them the MTCN and they say the number does not exist and refuses me to pay..Same problem happened with a friend of mine from Romania.. any solutions where I can cash them?

    I don't think WU is supported in Italy. Shouldn't be a problem in Romania though. Ask your Romanian friend to contact google.

    I'm a WU programmer. Most of the countries have WU, but what matters most is if your country is allowed to accept money from US. Example, in IRAN, you cannot send money in Iran, not only WU, but other remmitance transactions as well.

    Ok so I have a question for u...if a situation occurs where a customer making a transfer using western union...and they get a receipt with the mtcn on it ....directly from western union...y would the mtcn not come up when trying to pick the money up or even when the sender calls to see wats wrong
