Reddit or StumbleUpon ? Which One is Better for Traffic ?

Mostly people have different views both on Reddit and StumbleUpon. Some prefer Reddit for their business and some StumbleUpon. But I would like to know that which is better?

I agree Stumbleupon has definitely brought me more traffic to my promotions than Reddit. That's not to say Reddit isn't a good source of traffic.

I think it depends on your niche somewhat, and where you are focusing your marketing efforts. Both can bring traffic.

Stumble upon bring you instant traffic when you stumble your links there. But it is direct traffic along with just few referral traffic with no doubt. Also, it increases your bounce rate if you stumble continuously. But, when it comes to Reddit the story is somewhat different. You have to post something that has worth reading and having discussion on that particular topic. If you simply post then its like hitting a bow in Dark. You have to engage comment share on other post and make best efforts. You will get traffic and too but that going to count as just referral. And you will surely get benefit from it.

It's a landslide, StumbleUpon it is! Specially when used properly your site will be loaded with traffic!

In my opinion, Stumbleupon is far better than Reddit. According to a study this year, StumbleUpon accounted for 0.86% of publishers’ traffic, compared to the combined total of 0.5% for Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn and Google+.

And that far far far better than Reddit.

Why not use both though? With reddit, it probably depends on your niche or link. Reddit can be great when your link gets a lot of upvotes and activity. I've had the best luck with StumbleUpon though.
