Hello everyone. Have not been here for awhile. So the question is, have you ever been in jail? I spent a week in jail as a younger lad. I Keep driving while under suspension. It taught me a valuable lesson. Do not do that! Loosing your freedom sucks. What is your story? Night in a drunk tank? Never been but have friends who did. Speaking of jail-birds....... how is the IT master? Anyone know?
The IT master is doing very well by all accounts - treating it like a health spa I gather You'll find a few others on here who have been to jail but whether they'll out themselves or not remains to be seen. I personally don't see the point of sending someone to jail for a week. What on earth would you learn - apart from fear - that would stop you from offending again? In NZ half our offenders have some sort of mental health issue that has contributed to their offending. In a week you have no chance to address those issues and put support systems in place so that they have positive options upon release. Then again, something simple like driving while suspended might just need a wake up call. Did it work?
Worked very well thank you for asking and the update on Shawn. Being a dumb smoker and no smoking was hell enough. We will not discuss the cold left over chink food that was served. One shower in a week while the guard watched. FKing pervert. Like I am going to try and escape while being naked. I was driving a car while suspended from driving. Not robbing a bank. It was many moons ago that incident. I survived the "young, dumb years"
Nope, I haven't been to Jail up till now. Its our responsibility to follow rules and regulation and do not violate any law.
Never, I have never been to jail, but would definitely like to visit it, not as prisoner, but as a visitor.
HELL NO! But i have seen the police station, my bike was caught once for not having original papers while driving.
For a Scouts activity they showed us a court and what a jail cell looks like. All I remember is everything is made of metal (toilet, sink, . . . no mirror) so men with tantrums can't break anything. I remember a nasty mattress (and this one had a hole in the middle of it . . . ) kind of like the ones in college dorms. Dirty feeling to imagine having to stay there, especially with strange bros.
Unfortunately, yes. It was during my senior year of high school. Was downtown with friends getting sauced and got jumped by some big fellas that outnumbered us. We held our own and inflicted more damage than intended and the 'self-defence' plea went out the window. I regret it but also learned a lot from it though. Nothing wrong with having a run in with the law as long as you don't repeat those mistakes and actually learn from the experience.
