    Grrrr

What the hell is going on with Google these days ?

Is it going to stop dancing finally ?

My sites are going to almost zero for few days, and then going to highest numbers for day or two...and then again and again..

I had 2 best days, but today i cant find myself for some of my main keywords in most data centers.

Anyone has any idea is there end for this ?

Permaflux has been going on for a couple of years now. I would not expect it to end.

Well, I am not talking about some usual updates that take place almost every day, they are usually minor, but these are huge.
I wa on page 4 for "myspace layouts" yesterday, I cant find myself today.
Week ago, I was going from page 6 to nowhere, and so on..

I could understand going to page "10", but such a huge flucuation are annoying, just cant realize is my site enough good to keep hard work on it, or it is going to stay once in the middle of nowhere after one of these drops

I think google has too many cooks making the stew.

Too many chiefs not enough Indians.

    And all that.

You should never decide where to go with your site based on google fluctuations. They are going to keep changing anyhow. Your site is worth something, because it has useful content (or not). If you have return visitors - it's probably worth something. If you don't, improve or give up. The google dance only means that that google is wavering in the amount of trust it gives your site (that's how I interpret it anyhow). So build links from directories and myspace pages and all that stuff.

Every day I will have a keyword from one of my sites drop 50-100 places only to return a few days later. A few keywords are bouncing between 3 and 8 every day. My keywords that are in the top 5 are always steady so lots of movement there means something is up. My sector is real steady and the top 3 have been the same top 3 for 3 or 4 years without any real competition. Either an update or something broke.

Thats all correct, but we have to be honest and confess that there is no chance to make a big Myspace ( or any ) site without good Google rankings.

I am not SEO expert, but have learned lot in these 7 months of webmastering, and know whats most important for ranking. I am building my links all he time, and this site I talked about is one I give most of my time, as it sometimes looks that it has a potential to be a big site.

I know that none of rankings is not guaranteed and permanent, so I am prepared for loosing and rising rankings in some light or less light way.

But these 70 +/- pages fluctuations are pretty much unusual, or abnormal if I can say.
I just wondered what is it about ?
Is something big going to happen' or what ?

I believe in work I made on this site last months and dont think I will stay so deep forever, but hope it will get stable soon.

You have to confess that there is a difference in motive while working on site that brings some results, then working on one that is "somewhere nowhere" all the time ;)

almir there are two distinct datasets floating around Google at the moment. In the eyes of my main site one is rubbish (relegated 100s of results) and the other is the dataset as it was pre-28th November (the date when things started going crazy)

The 'good' dataset can sometimes be seen at http://64.233.167.104
The 'bad' dataset is one the majority of the others, like http://64.233.161.104

I haven't a clue what is going on at the plex but let's just say 'we are not amused'.

Partly true. Of course each and every webmaster can work harder on their sites but that doesn't mean they need to take all the blame. There is the little matter of a flawed algo at play here too. IMO.

you could use that analytics thing and submit a sitemap.. or re-submit one if you've done so before.
