The smart people in Washington know very well Ukraine will be split. They cannot win against Russia in Donetsk and Lugansk regions, now Independent republics.
What Washington will win and what Germany for splitting Ukraine.

Obama wants justification for NATO existence, for this purpose Russia must be demonized. The western media is quite good at demonizing their opponents.
Merkel will break apart another potential big country which in future could be an adversary to Germany. Just like Germany incited the break up of Yugolsavia.

What about the friends in Kiev. They are friends on "demand" or on convenience.
They are needed right now for the dirty job, and will be disposed of as soon as they are no longer needed, just like Sadam Husain, Hosny Mubarak and etc.

Ukraine split up.
The bombing of residential areas targeted by rocket systems designed to destroy large areas, is a war crime. It kills a lot of civilians and destroys their residences.
These peaceful people who have done no wrong to Kiev, but now Kiev targets them with the powerful Grad systems.
When you start bringing tears in the eyes of old and young women, and little girls KNOW ONE THING.- YOU ARE FINISHED WITH THEM, THEIR RELATIVES AND THE REST OF THE HUMAN WORLD.

The people of DONETSK AND LUGANSK WILL NEVER LIVE UNDER THE RULE OF KIEV AGAIN.

 

For peace sake I think Ukraine should split. Ukraine historically had always been the land of the Kievan Rus, where the Rus started moving east to what is now Russia. Ukraine is also home to many other ethnic coming from the old Germany, Poles, Russian, Jews, Romanians etc,.. As far is Russian is concern, losing Ukraine to the West is like U.S.A losing Alaska to Canada they will not make it happen.

But that's not really the reason, reason is a significant natural resources in Ukraine include: iron ore, coal, manganese, natural gas, oil, salt, sulfur, graphite, titanium, magnesium, kaolin, nickel, mercury, timber, and arable land and mail order brides.
