Article Writing/ Ghost writing

Discussion in 'Copywriting' started by firewolf08, Dec 11, 2006.

Hi. I have a question for whoever wants to answer it. I specialize in writing rewritten articles or original articles, but I was wondering if there were any other websites like this one that let people see article writing projects. Or does anyone know of any other place that hires writers to do ghostwriting on various SEO article topics? If anyone knows of any place please PM me or reply back to this message.

    Thanks,
    Matthew J Schieltz

Try elance, GAF. You could do the same on Digital Point too. If you do write well, there will be many webmasters interested in hiring you :)

In addition to Elance, Get a Freelancer, Rent a Coder, and even Craigslist, which handle a variety of projects, you can find writing projects posted on sites dedicated expressly to Freelance Writing, i.e. www.sixfigurewriters.com

    Hello Matthew,

How much do you charge per article?

Can you handle high volume jobs?

How many 500 words articles can you write per month without compromising quality?

What topics are you mostly comfortable with?

Can you send me some of your samples in word format? Please send to ozim400 AT yahoo . com in attached file.

I personally think Get a Freelancer is a load of crap. :p

No seriously, it's very rare that you find even a single, decent-paying job out there. Mostly, its just crap writers being under-bid by crapp(ier) writers, while the job-posters benefit from the price war. It's pathetic, really. I've seen people asking to hire someone to work for as low as $0.005/w, and actually getting alot of bids (with some people even under-bidding!).

What the hell is wrong with the world?!

Watch out for Guru as lowballers frequent the place. You have to mine through all of the fluff to find the occasional diamond in the rough.

For people who have good English skills and live in low-cost coutries, those prices are not so horrible. Also, a lot of people are writing for extra money, not for a living wage. They are retired, or stay-at-home moms, or high-schoolers.

Bidding sites can be cutthroat--too many writers who are satsified earning $1 per article. It's not a bad idea to try them, though, because you might be able to build up a good client base over time.

Like some of the others wrote, advertise your services here on DP and other high-traffic forums.

I've freelanced for a few magazines... It's not great money, but it is good exposure. It helps build a more professional resume, then say, just publishing ebooks, etc.

Pick magazines (smaller ones), that are looking for some well written articles. Niche magazines are always the best.
