Buying Need a script that will identify deleted videos on my site

    I have approximately 2,300 videos embedded on my site, and I am constantly adding more. The videos are hosted by YouTube. When a video is deleted from YouTube, it becomes unavailable on my site.

    Each video's ID is in my MySQL database. A video ID looks like this:

    ZFOuxAx-dkc

    I need a script that will do the following:

    1. Select the IDs from my database
    2. Check if the videos are still available on YouTube
    3. Create a list of the videos that are unavailable

    If possible, it would be great if the script could also tell me if any of the videos have been blocked in certain countries.

    The script has to be fully commented so that I can understand it.

    I want to run the script manually every few days. I don't want to have to change my database tables.

    I've been told that you can use YouTube's API or YouTube's oEmbed interface. I've also been told that, because there are so many videos, you will have to use cURL multi handles.

    Completed pretty fast. Can you tell us how did this project got finished? How much did it cost you?

    I ask because i have a ubot bot that checks YouTube videos, but if there is another way to handle it and how much did it cost you i would like to know.

    I paid $25. The programmer completed the work in about an hour.

    The resultant script is quite long and technical. I don't think anyone would have done it for free.

    After I posted the job, I received approximately five quotes within an hour, with programmers asking for as much as $80 and saying that the project would take as many as 8 hours to complete!

    I'm curious YoGem why exactly you think this should have been done for free? As the developer who finished the task I feel that the price charged and the time it took to complete the job where more than fair.

    Yea, i would like to know that too. Because you need to have/create script to check it and then run 2300 video links trough it. It takes time, but if someone is doing it for free, why should i run my script to check my videos, maybe that person will want to run it?
