I like page more since you may have your target clients there. If your content is valuable, it would be a good way to increase traffic in Facebook page.
There are lot of benefits that comes with using page to group but that does not mean that groups does not converts it just depends on the niche like dog group most owners are likely to be more interactive especially if the group targets a geographical location, the conversion rate can be very high.
I think the best way is to advertise on FB Groups... You can start your own FB Group and promote on other FB Groups...
Facebook groups is the answer, You just have to accept only people who are related to your niche and start sharing free content! You will gain respect and then traffic! this works with email marketing too! Kind Regards Vineservers
Create your Facebook page and start branding your website or whatever.. Facebook group are nowadays is just another spamming playground for the people
Facebook groups are established for much more personal relationship. Groups are directly attached to the those who administer them, meaning in which activities that go on there could reflect on you professionally. Pages, on the other hand, don’t list the labels of managers, and are thought of as a individual, almost being a corporate entity is considered a person beneath the law. Facebook takes groups for being an extension of this personal steps. When you post something like a group admin, it is apparently coming from you which is attached for your personal page. Alternately, Pages can produce content that comes from the site itself, so in which content doesn't must be linked to you. Also one particular key big difference is in which Pages are indexed by simply external search engines like yahoo such seeing that Google, just like a public page while groups are not.
I prefer to make a FB page. It is easy to invite more people there and SPAM is little there than FB groups.
The title leaves me to wonder... dont you get a facebook page on sign-up? So you already get a main page.... If you need, then create a group... use your page, group, or both... When you post, isnt your name going to display to your main page? whats the problem?
I would do both. I'd do a page for the over-all business, then create a group or two of smaller niches that might be within that. This is a ridiculous example, but her we go: 1) create a page to promote your pet store 2) create separate FB groups for dog lovers, cat lovers, parakeet lovers, fish lovers 3) spend time actively engaging your audience on the page & trying to gain new likes there 4) chat it up in the groups with new, relevant content (think more conversational & more personal) 5) try to get people to go from page or group to your actual site to convert to sales. Actually, this exhausts me just thinking about it, but it's the way that I see some successful FB campaigns done. Hope it helps!
Hi OP, The answer to this question will depend a lot on what you need fb traffic for and the niche. Sometimes fb algorythm is weird. I had experience with groups and pages and I can tell you that the best way would be to create groups, populate them and after push them to your page. Darius
Go to your Page’s Admin Panel and click on the Build Audience button. You can Invite Email Contacts (by uploading an email list) and Invite Facebook Friends (by sending a notification) to like your Page.
Facebook page is the best way to start getting members. group is a closed concept and you will be finding it difficult to invite members with relevant interests. create a group only after you have sizeable number of members in the Page. anyway you get a page after signup itself.
