Why thread and posts deleted?

    Why were my posts deleted? I received no notifications?

    User https://www.digitalpoint.com/members/don-zikko.793097/ accidentally started two threads on the same topic. I posted several replies that took up my time explaining there problem. They also replied.

    I then reported their other thread they accidentally double posted which had no replies, expect me linking to the thread with the replies! --- so the mods go and delete the thread with all the replies! Or deleted my and the OP's posts in that thread and deleted the dup. Why?

    Go figure, that my effort in replying was wasted!

    We normally get rid of the one with no replies or merge them together. Initially merges aren't as easy as they were in vB and we got out of the habit :) I've put things right
