Hello, Our company's account got "friendly warning" for post in own thread as "Content Has No Value" (announce of our new offer considered is useless? ok, maybe...) and banned for 3 months (not so friendly I think...). I would really appreciate if someone can review our post and ban reason. We've tried to contact via twitter, but without success Best regards
Check warnings tab in your profile. https://www.digitalpoint.com/members/david-propeller.817579/ You must have violated rules more than one time which got you 10 warning points.
Making a duplicate account won't help your case much either, not big on following the rules are you? There's also no such thing as a "company" account: When your ban eventually gets lifted I recommend you read the forum rules.
Is it forbidden to have a separate accounts for company's employees? I'm a private person now and the only purpose of this account is to communicate with moderators or someone else who can explain what rule was violated to get banned after the first warning. Thanks, but the only message we see after login: http://i.gyazo.com/4ad76ef3a20f4ca718e81e684aa560b1.png https://www.digitalpoint.com/members/propellerads.811826/
"Company" account means that it was used by another employee, not the same person. We have more than 50 employees in our company, I hope they can register a separate accounts on your forum or it will be another "rule violation"?
You must have got emails for all warnings with reasons for them. Check all rules here https://www.digitalpoint.com/help/ Also you are using Duplicate accounts, that is a serious violation.
No emails Only the last one with "friendly reminder". As for duplicate accounts - no, only one account per person and we never bumped our thread or something else.
I can read. Let's count. 50 employees. 50 personal DP accounts. Is it allowed? I'm not going to flame, if none here can answer why account was banned after one warning of "Content Has No Value", no problem.
50 employees can each have their own account and they need to be aware they can't share them. The only way you get banned from a single warning is if you spam. If it's a content has no value warning then it doesn't have any impact at all. In fact, most people who earn warnings have them expire more quickly than they can earn them and therefore never actually get banned. I just checked https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...ers-popunders-mobile-official-thread.2725319/ and found a post by a user called PropellerAds who came into the discussion thread and spammed it with a huge self promotion and earned 5 points for spamming - not running up post count / no value.
Thank you for your comprehensive answer! But it was our thread and it was announcement of our own offer In any case, we respect the forum rules and if that post was too much advertising, we'll wait until ban gets lifted. Thanks
Thanks for your understanding David. It's important to recognise that we have two distinct sides to the forum - one for discussion and one for selling. The lines do get a bit blurred when it comes to "official" threads but we would still like them to be for discussing what you do and resolving problems, answering questions and not get turned into a sales thread. That doesn't stop you "announcing" small changes that will be of interest to those subscribed to the thread and anyone who finds it later but big sales posts risk being seen as spam. One final point, if the member had been "established" a spam warning wouldn't have resulted in a ban as established members need 10 points to get banned and newbies only need 5.
