Infolinks cheating me?

Hi I made a blog 2 weeks ago. I know that I really shouldn't expect any real money at 200 views per day.

But the problem is even when I get ad clicks, infolinks doesnt pay. So far i have got 149 ad views and infolinks has only paid for about 10 ad views. The rest of the days i have got 30+ ad views but 0 revenue. I do get around 75 visitors each day from USA/Canada and i am sure some of them willingly or unwillingly hover over the in text ads.

Is this common? Can someone tell me which service should i use, heres my blog and niche. http://zetasilon.blogspot.in/

 

I would try to share my experience with you.
First, you should read these:

1. Infolinks pay their publisher by CPV.
   It mean you will get money whenever your visitor see the advertisement.
2. Infolinks only shown up ads based on the quality of you site.
   No matter how much impression you had, you'll get almost zero earning if the quality of your site was not that high.
   Why?
   Because the ads shown in your sites basically are low paying ads.
3. The ads shown in your site is affecting your earning.
   High quality and expensive ads will sky rocket your earning.
4. Visitors, Keywords, geo-location and Niche playing important roles in getting huge money.

I have few sites using Infolinks.
Blog A (good niche with non US visitor) has thousands of visitors and it only get $1-$2 each day. Blog B only have 173-214 daily visitors but it get $7-$13 (same niche with awesome articles and almost 100% USA visitors).

Infolinks didn't cheat their publisher. If they do. No one will use it.

Infolinks pays publisher based on CPV (Cost per View)

It is normal to have 149 ad view. Ad view is different than Page View. A single Page view could have five until ten ad view (depend on setting).
Usually, 200 Page view would have half Ad view.
Why?
Because visitor may didn't hover their mouse on the ads.
Many visitors uses Ad-Blocker to block ads. So that maybe the reason you only see 149 PV. From 149 PV only 10 considered to be valuable by Infolinks. THe reason would be only 10 times 'business ads' were shown on your site.

For 0 revenue, read my experience above.

Okay a question to Arick unirow before they are cpc, and now ad views. I still dont get what this ad views work. You mention mouse hover, so 1 mouse hover = 1 ad views? Is that how it works?

What happened if they click the links? Is that counted also?

 

How much is your ecpm? Their ecpm are not consistent. Its up and down which is not so profitable.

based on my experience, Infolinks only pay whenever the ads was shown in blog.

When your visitor click ads, you'll get money. Not because of the click but because the ads was shown.

 

Thank you, your answer was very informative too. But i guess you didn't understand what i said. I know infolinks pays per view. I am not complaining about less ad views. I am saying is from 149 adviews i have been paid only for like 10 or 11 (0.06$ i have made). The remaining 139 adviews have 0 ECPM AND REVENUE.

I read your post and you said it depends on quality of content and high paying ads. Agreed. But no matter how low paying the ads are , can infolinks show ads for 0 ECPM?

 

As I said, if you dont have an eCPM of $1.00 and up, forgot infolinks and move on to another ad networks you're only wasting your time and traffic with them.

Infolinks revenue are good back in the days when they are still CPC, but when they switch to ad views then the revenue are sucks

 

Two of my sties were showing 0 and almost zero (0.02) Ecpm (>500 PV). When I check my hosting account, The visitors are coming from Asian and the keywords are not quite interesting for advertiser.

I did this to improve it:

1. Didn't show the ads to less content such as Archive, Author link and other low content (in WP). Make sure to not show ads in category and tag which has less content as well.
2. Write only related post with great content.

The eCPM will be improved.
'Low paying ads' are my term to call any ads which didn't convert well and block the high paying ads. High quality ads only shown to high quality site which convert well to advertiser. Infolinks is really smart in showing ads. It will show ads based on the content of the site. It works for me.
Last, if you see 0 eCPM in your site. Maybe it didn't convert well for advertiser. Always check the site to make sure the real cause. Anyway, there are so may ads network which you can try.

 

UPDATE

I did nothing which you said above (sorry), but instead used stumbleupon and facebook to get US traffic. BOOM . From 0$/month to 0.3$ per day It does work.

 

Can anyone tell me about Ad views on infolinks ? Does it mean to hover the mouse on intext ads or to click on the ads ? I started using infolinks since last 2 days and have 40 pageviews and 25 adviews but 0.00 in the earnings column.

Please help !

cpm: $1.30
45, 000 page views
17,000 ad views

 

I have two websites displaying Infolinks, and I can tell you that results may vary with them.

Website #1 receives about 50K pageviews per day and generates less than 2 dollars from infolinks a day.
Website #2 receives 4K pageviews per day and always generates twice what website #1 makes.

With infolinks it all depends on what keywords they pick up on and display. Also, infolinks only seems to populate for desktop users. So if you have mobile traffic, it won't generate anything from Infolinks.
