Neteller I find is a good alternative. If you are a VIP member, your transfers are free.

In my case wire transfers became an option. After getting a good reputation as a freelancer I was able to get in touch with employers directly, and they agreed to wire me the money directly to my bank account. However, since I'm not able to get money/pay everywhere with my card, I still have to use PayPal every once in a while. Honestly, for a service that is so stable and secure I think the fees are reasonable.

Skrill is the best alternative of PayPal in my opinion. However, I do prefer using Bitcoin overall :) Webmoney is more secure alternative as well!

Skrill, Payza. For credit cards check CCBill they are old-timer in the credit card processing.

There is no alternative. I've been down that road many years ago and there is no GOOD alternative. All the other payment processors have higher fees or requirements that you may not be able to meet, such as not living in the USA. I hate to admit it but it's either Paypal or Paypal.

Plimus is a good option as an alternative to Paypal, but there fees are high and as far as I remember they only send payment once a month, the good thing is they accept paypal payments.

If I'm not mistaken, Skrill was Moneybookers.

@maddenitrous, plimus (now bluesnap) is scam company. They changed their name because plimus' reputation of being scam company, fooling uninformed newbies to fall to their trap.

For those who say bitcoin, how many people use bitcoin? Because I don't see many people use bitcoin.
