Filescabinet.com knows, like many, that Google allows you to filter search results by certain parameters, among them being “filetype:” – but, the site took the ability to a new level with its release and the announcement of its functionality.

Searching the Internet is a simple task. Most of us have integrated it into our lives to such a point that when we’re asked something we don’t know the answer to, we might just respond with a casual shrug, and a suggestion to “just Google it”. But, Google isn’t perfect, either. For example – say you’re looking not for a website, but for a document, or book.


“FilesCabinet is an entire search engine built on that idea. Just type in your query and FilesCabinet finds matching Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, Powerpoint presentations, and PDFs. By default, the results page lumps together all four kinds of documents, but you can filter the results by clicking DOC, XLS, PPT, or PDF.” states a representative, while explaining the site’s basic functionality. “Doesn’t matter what you’re looking for – from classified ads to losing weight, hardware solutions to example resumes – practically anything you can think of.”


“We created this site for educational purposes - copyright law, obviously, is still valid.” the representative continued. “You may search and download documents, but remember to respect the publishers and authors.”

I like the concept and don't get me wrong but this design.... it's just awfull...

Try to improve your design and make it more smooth because the first impression is really important.
