I want to build hubpages and give internal links between the pages. Internal links will be the keywords that i want to rank for. Will it help gaining search engine rankings or will it help me rank for my keywords in google?
well no.. but somehow yes.. i'll explain.. if you'll have a good and informative content that will attract your visitors to read your content and in between your website's content you are providing internal linking then it'll hold your visitor on your website as he'll go more deep and deep in your website. So, as your visitor goes deep in your website it'll reduce bounce rate of your website and increase your website's reputation in google terms and that will surely increase your page rank. so yes somehow it'll will increase your pagerank but you need to write some good and informative content
Yes, what @rahush said, but ALSO good internal linking makes it easier for Google to crawl your website, and that is very important! Additionally, pages that are visited often on your site might show up as separate search results, which increases the chance of you getting more organic traffic.
Yes, internal linking passes link juice and will help you rank better. Google processes and assesses pages individually, and any link to that page - even if it comes from another page from the same domain - is counted as a vote. You can see how high authority websites like amazon, about.com, ebay , youtube etc.. rank very well in serps with internal pages that have absolutely NO OTHER EXTERNAL links other than internal links coming from their own domains. That's because internal links do pass link juice and add value. Of course, if the original domain has little to no authority at all, internal linking will not help that much.
