    Can you please my doubt that how I can increase authority of a particular page. Does it require same strategy that we are applying to root domain ( Main Page).

    Yes- send quality backlinks (preferably manually) from Quality high Pr sites.
    Do not over optimize link anchor text or the matching on page seo terms.
    These days link juice power is much more about quality than quantity.

    Content is not an important thing to pay attention when you want to INCREASE THE AUTHORITY of your website. You need GOOD backlinks (HIGH QUALITY if possible!). Do not SPAM trying to get them. You should get RELEVANT backlinks that already have high authority! ;)

    But you can get quality backlinks from quality contents... & getting backlinks from other websites ( by directory or content)... That means according to you I have to focus on directory over Content... That doesn't make any sense to me.. I hope it will help... :(

    Get a backlink ratio of about 10:1 dofollow to nofollow. Remember, always quality over quantity. A site with 50 quality backlinks can easily outrank one with 50,000.
