Starting a adult webcam business

HI there everyone , i am in the process of starting up a adult webcam online business and was looking for some help/advice on how to do that legally? Please take note that i cannot do this legally in Singapore(where i'm from) as it's not legal. So I'm finding a way to see if it's possible to start up this online business based in any other country like the USA?

So if let's say i form a company(LLC) in the Usa , would it be considered a legal business if i run it from there? do i even need to form a company ? I have been searching around and can't really find any solid answers. I have checked with a few lawyers in the USA and from what they had told me i could register and form a company in the USA and do business legally but i am wondering .. do i really need to register a online adult business?

I mean can't i just form a company in offshore countries like belize, panama etc , get a merchant account and bank account and do this business? Atleast this way i don't have to pay taxes. but if i form a company in usa i might be legally protected as i will get a lawyer to settle all the legal documents for me such as the below:

    Privacy policy
    DMCA
    Terms of use
    Kids protection
18 U.S.C 2257 record keeping requirements compliance statement etc etc

So can anyone tell me if i really need to form a company in the US or i could do it in offshore countries or which would be a better idea? Getting a lawyer to help me with the above legal documents will cost me around $1500 and also there are other fees too like taxes, state filing fees, business license fees, etc. So any help or advice is much appreciated.

    Thank you

I do not see a particular advantage to forming a US-based company for any business, unless there is a solid reason to do so. For example, if your servers will be residing in the US, then it might make sense to incorporate here. Otherwise, put your business and your servers in a country with more favorable taxes and laws for your business to thrive.

Hi thank you for replying back to me... Can you tell me what other country would be more favorable besides the US? Why i choose US was because all the internet laws seems to be from the US(please correct me if i'm wrong) like the dmca, 18 U.S.C 2257 etc.. so i wanted to get a US lawyer to help me with the legal documents in case i have anyone suing me or making any complaints ..

Can i also know why you say it's not a good idea to start in the US? Is it because of the laws there or the taxes? would really appreciate any information as i don't want to regret as you can see i have no idea where to start this businesss. I can also PM you if you want.

    Thanks alot

I am not a lawyer and certainly not knowledgeable about adult content laws in the U.S. or anywhere else. I was basing my comments on things like the fact that the U.S. generally bans online gambling (with certain exceptions) while other countries are wide open. In my experience, most gambling sites are based outside of the U.S., in fact. My guess is that U.S. laws are tougher on adult content, too, but it is just a guess. In terms of taxes, there certainly are many better locales than the U.S. Many U.S. companies open offices in other countries just for the tax advantage. I am not an international tax expert, either, so I do not have any countries to recommend.

Finally, the only reason I ever hear of citizens opening businesses in the U.S. is because it is their biggest market and having a presence there enhances their visibility and attractiveness to American buyers. I am not sure that would be the case with your business.

Oh k thank you , i'll try searching more as main source of income(models) are from the USA. And everyone seems to follow or accept the federal laws of the US as main guide for internet porn too . Unless taxes than it'll be a different issue i guess... I'm more worried of the legal issues if one is to arise. And when i talked to a few lawyers, they did say it was legal to start up one in the US. I have yet to contact other lawyers from other countries which i might just do ;)

To be honest, not sure why you would even bother...
besides all the legal stuff, and I have read stories about people not
keeping good record keeping, and ending up with huge fines, and prison time...
and if you are able to setup everything pefectly, do you have a huge budget/capital?
Do you think you will be the first to break into the Adult Cam Industry which
has been around for many years, and is a super high competitive niche?
