Want Some Visitors On My Website. How About Viral Traffic

So I have my website http://viralshared.com My traffic right now is through Facebook posting. So I'm looking of free ways to gain at least 20,000 views a month. So where do I start?

 

Got a budget?

why you don't try youtube & video marketing with blogging ?

 

Your site looks a little thrown together. Maybe spruce up the design a bit before you scale up?

 

What do you mean by that David so I have to redesign the site? So what's your suggestion about the design? Maybe a 3 column, magazine type?

 

I'd start with putting something in the sidebars and maybe adding a third color to your palette.

 

You might look at traffic the way you look at a house. Your front door is your website. Right now, you have just one other door to your house... the Facebook 'Garage Door' (it's a big door!). But what about other doors?

Do you repurpose each post into Article directories? PDF Directories? Press Releases? Podcasts? Web 2.0 properties? Forum posts? Do you do any social marking, forum signatures, blog commenting?

Each can serve as a door to your house, and the more doors you have, the more traffic will wander in...

Of course. But in the real world, that's what it takes. You can, of course, outsource much of this.

But you must reuse your content, unless you want to do even more work...

 

Have you tried bookmarking on stumbleupon and reddit? My site is getting decent traffic on those social bookmarking sites. You might want to give it a try.

You might want to consider changing the yellow background to something else. It's really bright and distracting.

Reddit and StumbleUpon can be great sources of traffic, but don't expect sustainable traffic from them. They work especially well for contents that can go viral, giving you high spikes in traffic but generally only a very small percentage of those numbers becomes repeat visitors. If you can get a lot of user submissions for your pages, this could work really well.

YouTube is a great source of traffic if you have the right materials, but I would say Facebook is probably going to be your biggest source of traffic for this type of content

Now getting right into the serious problem. You have to try to get more viral when it comes to social presence. Try reddit, stumbleupon, pinterest, tumblr, etc.

 

Buy it from a cheap source

 

Of course, if you don't know your profit from each visitor, you can't judge how much you can spend for each visitor. Entertainment is a tough niche... I'd look into banner ads. Pick high-traffic websites related to your content, and see how much it'll cost to syphon some of that traffic with a banner. That's probably going to be the cheapest traffic you can buy.
