so it means you still have his money? then it's even worse... so let me make it clear (maybe I understood wrong) - you asked for more money after sale and not even did pay back the money, although you did not sell to him? If so, I have no understanding for your actions, sorry.

    Hey,

no i gave him a FULL refund.

there is nothing wrong with what happened just a simple misunderstanding of 2 differant people with differant personalities.

If you wish to continue this please contact me via pm on not in the thread.

    Thanks

    Danny

He refunded me the money I had sent him, however it still doesent excuse his actions of changing the terms of the auction. He did not state anywhere in teh auction thread there would be additional fees, and then when I won the auction he told me I need to pay additional fees.

This is unacceptable and why I recommend that you don't do business with this person.

    Hi,

as i said before we have differant morals, i would have sent that little extra to make sure the seller got the exact amount. Maybe that is just the way i was raised.

please continue this in pm if you have to.

Danny, a bin is a buy it now bid, meaning that it is not up to you to like it or not, when a BIN option is bidded, all you can do is accept it, period.

It was not a BIN but it was a bid that was higher then his reserve, and what Pedro Monteiro still applies. It is not up to you to like it or not all you can do is accept it, period.

You choose to not accept it and did not hold up your word, you tarnished your own reputation here.

in short: mintdanny you made a mistake, just say "yes, I made a mistake" and all is fine - mistakes can happen and you should learn from it, but instead you are starting to discuss things that are obvious - you did not state additional costs and that's it

lol... the poor guy has just 196 posts.. He is new to DP.. probably doesnt know how auctions are done.

If you dont like the additional processing fees .... null ur deal... no use making a big fuss that continues to 31 posts and the poor guy keeps saying continue in PM.

Mods shud close this thread and you shud start a fresh thread.

In all fairness to mintdanny, he didn't state that he accepted PayPal as a means of payment in his original post.

As there are many ways to pay a winning bid that would not have cost mintdanny any money to receive, I'd have said that asking buyer to cover PayPal fees was a fair request (If not a very savvy one in regards to his seller reputation)

Slava - I found your attitude in this sale to be a little pushy ("I won the auction") - I appreciate that we'd all like auctions to go smoothly and it's great to bag a bargain domain, but maybe you should be a little more restained while dealing with someone who is new to selling domains on DP.

I am showing restraint, earlier when mintdanny tried to change the endtime I made the followinmg post:
That was his clue that changing rules was not allowed. Later I told him I would not pay fees cause they were not mentioned. I understand he is a noob, but instead of admitting he was wrong he made a big deal out of it and wasted my time.
